About CHRISTIE

Christie is an experienced competitor and award winning instructor graded under Ralph Gracie and Kurt Osiander.

Christie began training Jiu-Jitsu in 2006 and has regularly competed and medaled in some of the sport’s top adult & masters tournaments, including the IBJJF Pan Ams, IBJJF World Championships, IBJJF Master World Championships, IBJJF Rio Open, IBJJF San Francisco Open, IBJJF Las Vegas Open, IBJJF American Nationals, and US Open.

Seeing the need to grow the women’s BJJ community in the San Francisco Bay Area, in 2012 she founded the Ralph Gracie Association women’s team program, which she led through 2016. Under her lead, the RGA women’s team earned multiple team titles at the US Open and American Cup tournaments.

Realizing her truest passion was to share Jiu Jitsu, she has committed herself to fully refining and developing her teaching style and curriculum for the next generation of practitioners.

In 2016, a career move brought Christie from San Francisco to Boston, Massachusetts. Christie teaches both the women’s class program and BJJ fundamentals at MassBJJ - Arlington.
